Got some new rims today, and the brake caliper is wearing away the center cup of the rim, got some spacers but now they scrape on the wheel arch! Any suggestions to fix this without raising the front end? Remove spacers and let it grind away or keep them in and put up with arch scraping

What size spacers are you using?

Narrower tyres then fella, only option than raising it

Don't let the calliper damage/touch the wheel, that's really bad. Worse case you could end up with a wheel or brake failure. Narrower tyres to stop arch rub or raise it up a tad.

Fitting narrower tyres still isn't the safest option in my opinion, reducing your contact patch just to fit a set of wheels?

What if you fit new pads later on and they move the caliper out to foul the wheel even with the spacer on?

I'd just accept you have bought wheels that don't fit, sell them on and buy a set that do fit.

Thats sound advice. I bought some wheels last month and I was going to have to have to buy spacers and wider arches just to get the wheels to fit. I realised I was making the car fit the wheels rather than getting wheels that fit the car.

Cut your losses and get wheels that fit.

Consider rolling the arches and possibly lower profile tyres. There's ways and means to make the work
