Owned this polo got almost 9 years. Bought it as my first car then when i moved onto bigger, faster things it went to my mother. I started driving it again 3 weeks ago after selling my civic ek4. Bought sone new fk coulovers to replace my ebay cheapies and some junk dreg wheels to replace the 14" steelies its sat on fornthe last 3 years. Polo is going to be my daily while I find and build myself a b5 audi s4. Will have a full time line of my polo up in a few days.

Will be getting my arches rolled soon as it really needs to come down about another 20mm to sit where id like it to.

I'll get some on my day off mate, it's in desperate need of good clean first lol

So today I spent 5 hours trying to make the most of my poor paint work. Firstly I washed the car at jet wash for ease then took it home and speed detailed it. I then used speed detailer and a G3 clay Mitt to get rid of contaminants in the paint. Then I went over the paint with autoglym ultra deep shine polish, buffed it off and repeated. Next up was 2 coats of autoglym ultimate gloss protection sealer. I then have it 2 coats of G3 resin superwax. I then used autoglym bumper and trim gel on the plastics and finished up by putting a generous coat of meguiars endurance tyre gel on. Here's a few pics of finished item and a reflect pic taken in my door.

I also fitted my 320mm Momo jet steering wheel yesterday

Next up I'm going to lower it a touch to get rid of the little bit arch gap

Thanks man, got a load of plans for it over the next few month. Gonna get some new wings and bumper to get rid of the scuffs its picked up in car parks, get my votex front lip, gti skirts and blue motion rear splitter painted and fitted, repaint my mirrors, fit my 1.5 degree rear camber shims and bring the whole car down to get rid of the arch gap. Source a new interior to be retrimmed in tan leather. i also quiet fancy getting air ride but thats not 100% yet. Had alot of plans for this polo over the years which have been stopped by having a second car or by just not having the money but now that I'm financially stable and have a fairly healthy disposable income I think its time to get this polo done and dusted so i can just enjoy it :)

just a quick update and a few pics.

after an epic birthday weekend in Amsterdam, i decided i was allowed one more little birthday treat so decided to buy the private reg (C14 YVW) I've wanted for a while. i also decided i was gonna paint my mirrors to match the lips on my wheels. so i went and bought the paint and got cracking. since then i cant really decide if i like them or not :/ plans for this week are to get cracking with my votex front lip and gti skirts and get them painted and fitted.

i also get round to fitting some new speakers and my sub and amp. unfortunately somewhere between mine and my friends house, the axle stands i was dropping off managed to gangbang the sub to death even though they are strapped down :/ so that'll be getting changed next week for something abit better

so plans.... looking at getting a new wing, old one was damaged a few years ago by door when hinges dropped so replaced it with a cheap one from scrappy. the wing thats on new really lets the car down so i was planning on getting a new wing and getting the full front and sides painted. been researching and looking into air ride for quite a while and think I've got a good idea of the set up i want so that should start coming together soon. haven't had a lot of time to do much on the car lately but I'm off today so maybe a wash and wax :)

only real update this time is i finally got round to putting my plate one

really need to get some photos with my dslr instead of all these phone pics haha

Nah just gonna leave it the way it is, got 27 misrepresented plate offences already and don't want to lose my plate, will be getting some for shows though [emoji57]

so in the month and a half I've had my wheels on I've managed to scrub through the sidewalls with my arches and its not even low! so looks like i will be rolling my arches and getting some camber shims soon lol and a new tyre!!

anyway bought some 6r style rear light s and some front fog lights so fitted them this week.

Does this mean the reverse light is on the opposite side or something ? Would these be alright to be used in UK?

Yeah reverse light and Fog light has to be on a certain side if not both, lots of people fit LHD lights though but I wouldnt risk it personally
