Has anyone pianted there steels using hammerite smooth in black?

whats the finish like?

Crap was ok back in the 80's when it had lead in it , get them powder coated if you can ..

As above done this to an old Vauxhall astra I had few years ago it looked ok at first but after a few months they looked very weathered,powder coating is recommended

hamerite is the last paint i would chose - poor quality for what it costs

I painted mine and it came up really well, and lasted years without issues?
No point wasting money removing tyres, getting blasted, coated, tyres back on and balanced... all on steels?
Save the money, drop £8 on tin of hammerite and be done with lol.
I have pictures, but it was years ago... feel free to check my buildthread as they will be in there on the 1st page iirc.
