Hey guys,

Not sure if anyone can help me, picked up a capri green drivers door from a G40 for my GT today, bolted it all up and the door sits too high to close on the latch :(

Tried adjusting the height with the bolts but nothing changes! the only way it will close is if i leave the bolts loose, leaving a lot of play with the door!

Any advice would be grand, thank you in advance,

Is there not some adjustment in the latch mechanism?

Why did you have to change the door, have you been in a shunt?

Had a dent a bit bigger than a baseball on the crease just below the window and had rusted, bought it like it from previous owner! Cant find an adjustment, haynes manual says to use the bolts to adjust but it doesn't seem to change, as you tighten the bolts the door lifts :/

There isn't even that much adjustment in the door.

Try tightening the bottom bolt first then pull the door down then tighten the top one while keeping pressure on it.

When I swapped a door on mine it would always close, I just needed to adjust it to get the shut lines right.

remove the stricker pin in the door jamb , 15mm headed pin thingy

see how the door sits , if its high at the rear slaken the bolts and use your weight to pull on the back edge while its open a bit , if its low carefully use a jack and block of wood to raise the rear then nip the bolts , might take some time to get it right

once its lined up and fitting in the hole well , fit the pin this will take some fiddling with to get it just right
