Polo 6n ABS woes

Featured Replies

Hey All,

My partners abs light is staying on. (It used to come on intermittently while driving)

On the VAGCOM we are getting back the code 01276 which I believe is ABS Hydraulic pump.

However the ABS works fine. There is a freshly stoned road just down from me, No matter how hard I tried, I could not get the wheels to lock.

This leads me to believe that the error is incorrect.

We have tried clearing the code but it is instantly back again.

So far the tried resolutions are :

Checked all fuses,

Replaced the battery top fuse box ( the metal strip was naffed on the original )

Checked what I believe to be the wiring under the rear seats.

The next plan is to clean the ABS sensors.

What other options are there?

Thought I best check back in on this one,

Well, Pulled the module off, got the dremel, and opened it up. And what do you know ? There was a dry solder.

I will say though, I realised after cutting it, there are little metal clips round the holes for the bolts. If you can get those off you dont need to cut up the casing.
