Mk2f Polo grill on 6n. Can it be done?

Featured Replies

Apologies if this has already been covered, I couldn't find anywhere on the forum. Is there anyone out there whose running a flat rectangular grill on a 6n? Same style as the mk2f polo runs. I understand it would mean having to rework the section in between the bumber and the grill but just curious as I've always wanted to run one but I'm unsure how and wanted to see pics of someone whose done it.

Pics to aid.

it can be done yes, but you would have to hack both grilles to shit.

the 6n in the picture you added is a 6k caddy, these use the ibiza headlights which are more squared at the sides, so would be easier to fit, but the 6n has a lot more rounded lights, meaning it wouldn't be as straight forward.

grilles are cheap and cutting things is fun so give it a shot, would either look great, or absolutely terrible in which case you can dispose of it.

Yeah, the car in the first link is not a 6n, and shares nothing with it - it's just styled to look a bit like one.

Get the two cars side by side and then you'll get more of an idea.

I kinda like this idea so I mocked it up on mine :)
