Mk2f Coupe, 13" x 8j all round. Will it work?

Featured Replies

just seeing if anyone can shed some light on this. I've found a set of 13"x8j banded steels for sale and was just wondering if anyone knew what sort of tolerence I'd have in regards to lowering it aswell.

Only wanna put it down 40mm but obviously don't want any rubbing issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

8's would most likely look rubbish on the front, and probably the rear too. Especially banded as they'll likely be some stupid offset

Thanks for the response! Any ideas what you can get away dropping it 40mm? I know it's not a drastic drop but I just don't want any rubbing issues. Wanna stick with 13 inch wheels though so I suppose there's quite a few options?

Nice! Guessing they're 8j. I've got an armful of questions for you now haha. How low have you dropped it? What size tyres are on it and any ideas what offset the wheels are?

Thanks in advance

It's not my car so I can't answer those questions. I mentioned that I had bought 13x8 ATS Classics on another forum and another member posted those pictures of his old car. He did say that he had to take a grinder to his calipers because they touched the spokes.

I would presume it's lowered 60 or 70mm at that height. I'll try and find his old build thread for you.
