Time to move on my first Polo...its not moved in a year - no tax no mot - needs a gear box, i have spare i bought from a member...

its not bad nick....if I could get Photobucket to work with Club Polo I'll update with some photos.

its been lowered, has a four branch and a system on it...ideal project car.

someone point me in the right direct of uploading and I'll attached some images.

price wise I'm open to offers as you will need to collect as it has not started in a year and is not taxed or MOT's.

nope not selling the Manta - I've had it since 98 and its a rare silver 2 coupe from 1978 two owner car, its messed with so not standard but its a keeper.

i'll post some pic when I get a chance its been is storage this year due to space issues at my house.

your wrong Hinka, its a 1978 so its a B' Series Manta 2.0ltr SR Belineta Silver 2 Coupe, the GT/E came out in 1982/1983 I think.

The A' Series had round head lamps and round tail lights and stopped production 1975 - the B' Series had Square lights as you say except for the a limited amount of care called "Exclusive" which had some irmscher parts, Quad headlights bigger boot spoiler etc.

now if I could find an i240 Coupe in original condition...

The B series Manta did come out in 1982 I bought a GT/E in 83 on the way back from it's first MOT a Yugo pulled out of a side road and took the front off it writing it off, bought it back from the insurance company for £200 !! and rebuilt into a group A rally car

The 4 headlights and large rear spoiler didn't come as standard till 84/5

Well the B Series came out in 76, with metal bumpers with 1600. 1900 engines then the SR came along with the 2.0 carb engine with metal bumpers....then in 81 the face lifted it by changing the trim from cord cloth to velour and adding plastic bumpers and making the 2.0ltr still with its carb a GT/J ....then in 82/83 the brought out the 1800 and 2.0ltr GT/E...then the exclusive in around 86, and inbetween these dates they brought out the i200 and the i240 and if you were loaded your could have ordered from Germany a Manta 400 with either a standard body or with the rally box arches.....

There were 2 types of GT/E. The common one was the so-called "Imrscher" one. But before that, in the times when SR(or Berlinetta) were at large, there was another GT/E. They were at large untill the 4 round healight models came(with spoiler, plastic bumpers and so on)

Hinka where do you come from ....as the early GT/ E were Euro only cars ....a bit like the Opel Kadett GT/E Coupe ...again not available in the UK.

my apologises, I always forget the fact that the UK market is slightly different. I'm from Romania(trust me, Manta B was introduced to us after the fall of the communist regime)

I've seen on the street a Cavalier that actually looks like Manta B. I hope I can find at least a Cavalier like that...

the Cavalier cams as a coupe or sport back and came as L , GL or GLS.
