Hey I have just joined Club polo and was looking for some advice.

I was wondering if there is a way I can remove my rear badge without damaging the paint work. I was hoping to spray it black then put it back on.

On my 9n1 I found that heating the badge with a hair dryer, then cutting through the double sided tape with tooth floss did the trick. Once you've removed the badge, it's just a case of using your fingernails while continuing to heat with the hairdryer. I was tempted to use a screwdriver with a cloth behind, but that probably wouldn't be the best idea!

Most of the badges can be removed with the application of gentle heat and either a plastic credit card to gently pry the badge off or again with the heat, cut the badge off with dental floss

Bit of warm water and a credit card eased the badges off my 6n.

Cheers guys I managed to heat up and then use floss to take it off

Managed to spray it and stick it back on

have you done any of the other badges? the "Polo" bit ?

i need to remove mine and put new ones on but I'm not sure on the best way to re-apply them

To get the 'polo' and lettering of my car, I used a bucket of hot soapy water,

held the sponge on each letter at a time,

then carefully using dental floss worked them off one at a time! Then used an old credit card or my nail to GENTLY scratch off any foam pad left on

Then if you want to reapply the OLD badge, I scraped off any foam that was on the old lettering,

Then used 3M number plate tape (think that's what it is) and cut around the letters with a fine pair of scissors

Make sure the area you want to stick it on it clean and dry and, voila, done

If you don't have a heat gun, or in my case an extension lead long enough to reach the driveway, just pour hot water over the letters/logo and pull it/them up with a credit card/plastic trim removal tool.
