I have rejoined the sight after 2 years when i sold my last polo a 1992 1.3 mk3 genesis.

When I originally bought the car it had a warped and cracked head with many issues so head skimmed, new head gasket, water pump, cam belt etc.

I drove the car for a year then sold it to my friend who was due to pass there driving test, 2 years passed and the polo was still sat where I had left it, I bought it back for £200 a few weeks ago and I am about to start work on it. I managed to get the engine running with just a new battery and a bit of fresh petrol however it isn't running smooth. Any advice on things to lookout for or check would be fantastic.

The owner started it once then couldn't be bothered after that, i think failing her driving test a few times put her off driving completely.

my only concern is the amount of rust underneath as it was above damp ground, doesn't seem too bad but i am yet to get a proper look.
