This is my beloved 2001 VW Polo GTi 1.6 16v. It is a 3 door in metallic silver, with low mileage considering the car is 14 years old. Part service history, as since I have owned the car I have serviced it myself yearly. 12 Months MOT (18/03/2016) and tax will be at buyer’s expense.

This is a very quick car as it is 125bhp and is very fun to drive around. It is also good on fuel. The car is lowered on fully height adjustable coilovers (£300 when brought), which makes the car handle extremely well, even at high speeds. The car has a transformers badge on the boot instead of the normal ‘VW’ badge, but I will supply an original VW badge for the rear too. The external mirror shells have been sprayed black and so has the front VW badge. The inside of the car is immaculate and the car drives lovely and always starts without a problem. The only reason I am selling the car is due to needing a bigger car and will be really sad to see it go.

The previous owner had to get the engine changed due to it blowing up whilst he owned it. The clock currently shows 110k but the engine was changed when the clock was showing 97k and the new engine was on 63k when put in, therefore, technically the car has only done around 80k. The previous owner had the cambelt, water pump and head gasket all done at the same time as the engine rebuild.

The car has recently had new ignition leads, coil pack, spark plugs, new clutch and release bearing, clutch cable, gearbox oil change and brake pads and discs were changed last year, and the car has only been driven about 4000 miles since. Tyres are in good condition and come with original BBS RX2 split rim alloys, which alone are worth £300 without tyres. In a nutshell in the last year the car has had a lot of money spent on it.

It has recaro style sports seats throughout and these are in good condition with no rips or tears. The car also has Climatronic Air Conditioning, Xenon Headlights, Electric Windows, Folding Rear Seats, Power Steering, Alloy Wheels, Central Locking, Alarm and Immobiliser, Fog Lights, and a Rear spoiler, which is very rare on these. Also, the car has uprated Hertz component speakers in the front which cost me £120 and Infinity Coaxial speakers in the rear panels which cost me £80, however, I have taken the head unit out, as it cost me too much and cannot afford to include it in the price. The car only comes with one key.

The exterior of the car is not so great. The passenger side rear quarter has quite a big dent in which was there from the previous owner, but it has never really bothered me and therefore never bothered getting it repaired. However, I was quoted that it would cost roughly £150-£200 if I was to do so, but never bothered. There is also a little scuff on the rear bumper where someone has scuffed the car whilst it has been parked unfortunately. Other than that, the exterior is generally in good condition for the age. Also, the central locking currently doesn’t seem to work at the moment, it just needs a new fuse, but I haven’t managed to get round to doing it myself.

I also have a set of Deep Dish BBS RS Replicas in Matt Black with Gold studs which were on the car which can be added for an additional £350. They rears are staggered at 8J and have good tread on tyres, the front are 7j and need 2 new tyres. (see pic) One of the rears has some curbing on the lip.

Yes mate got full recipets for the engine change and have got all the reciepts for work I've done to the car since I've owned it.
