Is broken seat cables an mot failure

Hi my drivers seat cables have gone in my mk2 bready so the seat won't tilt forward. Does anyone no if this is an mot failure. The passenger side is fine still. I am gonna fit new cables just not really got time before mot time.

Depends a bit on the tester and how they read the rules, a lenient tester could let it go, but most would fail it.

I've been known to stick a different seat in for test.

Rang my mot place today and as long as one seat tilts and slides then it can be passed.
