hi i have a 2000 polo 1 litre engine. 2 weeks ago the car wouldint go into gear my mechanic adjusted the clutch and that helped for a few hours but then i could go up gears but not down so we replaced clutch and everythig was fine. but today i was reversing and the gears crunched going into reverse and since then i can only get it into 1st when the engine is off and chainging gear is so difficult i stop in neutral. its a brand new clutch anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? thanks

allso the car vibrates like hell when stoped and in gear once I'm in neutral its fine

how do you tighten the clutch cable i cant find any info on this where is it located in engine i think my engine model is 6n2 thanks

Have the garage inspect the peddle box before you think about gear box, common weak point of 6n2s had similar issue with my last one.

Ask the garage who replacwd the clutch to carry out whatever remedial work is required - If either their work or the new clutch are at fault, they shouldn't charge any more.
