Mk3 Rear wiper w/ washer jet

Featured Replies

My rear wiper mech was KIA a few days ago, and last week I drove out to stockport to get a replacement. It was only when I got home and was about to fit it did I realise the new one didn't have the washer jet, which I kinda liked :-(

Attempt #2. Looking for a Mk2F rear wiper setup (motor, mechanism & wiper arm) WITH the washer jet. Should also mention that the arm should be big enough take a blade the same size as the front wipers whatever that may be - the replacement I bought was a bit smaller than my original one.

Pics if possible, and a price quote are appreciated. Can collect within 50 miles of WN7 1LH, else it'll need to be posted.

  • Huh? On my old one it runs through the actual mechanism with the nozzle on the wiper arm

The washer jet is tucked under the spoiler.

^ ditto on our 2 mk2f coupes too

On a coupe the jet is part of the motor, on a hatchback (breadvan) it's a seperate jet at the top of the boot.

The wiper arm on a hatchback is also smaller than the coupe.

Unfortunately it looks like you got the wrong part for your coupe :-(

Looks like it yep, meaning the breadys will have an 11" rear wiper and the coupes will have 16". Oddly enough when I went in to halfords to get new blades last year, they were surprised that their computers said I needed 16"s for both the fronts and the rear. Yet when I just checked the halfords website using my registration, it tells me to get an 11" for the rear which I know now would be too small for my coupe.

This shit aint gonna get any easier

I should have one of these at my unit - I'll see if I can dig one out this week.

It's quite easy for the jet to break off on the coupe. It's a push fit item but break the end off and you're in some trouble. I might have one of these too, but I will have to check and get back to you

The jet from the Mk3 Golf also works (with some encouragement from a hammer), and they're quite popular on ebay so I think that won't be an issue, I just need the right motor/mechanism to go with it

I have a Mk3 rear wiper with washer in motor but it looks like you want a Mk2f one.

You could check with GSF or Euro carparts to see if they are the same

If they are I want £20 + P&P

Sorry, thought you had a bready.
