Car wash damage to antenna. Help

Featured Replies

Hi, a car wash dryer has pushed the aerial on my 2012 polo forward, slightly pushing down the fron of the base into the bodywork, denting it slightly. This has left a 3mm gap between gasket and bodywork at the rear, which has leaked into my ceiling lining in today's rain.

What's my best bet for repair? Fill it some how, or replace the aerial? I can bend the aerial base back into place, but there is no adhesive to stick it. Would a new gasket use adhesive? Or is it fitted by a nut inside the lining?

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Need a photo really. Sounds like it's caused a sort of dent in the roof which will need to be pulled out.

A car that age I'd just take it to the main dealer and ask them to look at it and see what they think.
