Hello everyone. I've recently purchased a 1999 VW Polo 6N (1.4 8v,Blue, 3 Door).

It hasn't got the best body work but it will all be sorted in the coming months/years. I plan to have it back to an origional/better than origiobak state in roughly a year.

It wants a rear bumper (been dinged), some love and tlc to the entire body until it can be resprayed, there is a little bit of welding on the N/S Sill to do, there is also the start of rust in spots on the underside which will be irradicated and sealed up.

From there on there is a sump gasket to replace (replace the sealent/gasket) clean out the pickup pipe whilst I'm down there, I would like to get a steam cleaner and clean the old oil stains off, just to show some more tic.

That's about it engine wise. It's not long had brake pipes, front disks and pads plus a cambelt and water pump.

So apart from that it'd just maintenance (a bloody thougher service) a good clean inside and out...

Now for what I want to do to it... >:)

I plan to make it look slightly modified... But not over the to, tacky or ruin the fact it's an older car (not sure if you would call it class or vibe of the older car) but still I want that retro look to still be there but with some more modern looks to it... Such as LED lighting and HIDS (Pure white... Not the nasty blue colour).

I have a second hand Manual Air ride kit in the pipe line for it off of a work colleague who used it on a Mk3 Golf which will add some awesomeness and more functionality to it. I plan to make the boot build/audio system to be stealth but showable if I wanted to.

So some nice wheels. Standard main looks, air ride (manual) and some decent bodywork repairs/tlc it should be looking much better.

First things first though, the service, I will post some pictures of the car and things that need replacing when I can before I start restoring and adding to it :)

So I've now finished the service, and fitted new side repeaters (origional orange colour to match the indicators as I'm keeping them standard orange and not doing a clear conversion) and also replaced the number plate lamps and bulbs...

On top of that I have gotten some decent car matts (taloured all black from carmats4u) and have dewipered it as the washer was all over the place... Cheaper and easier to replace it

I so had to replace the windscreen as it had a chip in it on the drivers side swept area (probably repairable) and stupidly tapped it whilst cleaning the windscreen and it cracked which warranted a full replacement... Stupid me! (Oh and it was delaminating at the bottom! Another reason to replace)

That's about it for now, will put some pictures of the dewiper, side markers not hanging off and the led boot lights!
