So I had a new hub + bearing fitted just over a month ago, I went to get some fresh rubber fitted to find out that the 'new' hub + bearing has gone again, what could cause this ? (if any help I recently fitted some lowering springs)

I'm gunna ring the garage up tomorrow and see what they have to say about it !

If yours has the individual taper-roller bearings, it may be that they were 'adjusted' too tightly, putting pre-load on the bearings.

Also with these bearings, contamination of the grease (or total lack of it!) would also cause rapid failure.

Are you sure that the bearings have in fact failed, and don't just need adjusting correctly??

If you have the later, one piece bearings, Stevo's comments may well apply.

Lowering shouldn't have any effect on the bearings.

just to be clear are you talking front bearing ?

if so I've never seen a tapered one on a polo and theres no ajustment

Yeah front one and I supplied an FAG bearing to them. After some recipt reading it was my bad :( I think my CV is going on the other side now ! what are the symptoms of it ?

cv joint would be a clicking /rattling worst on full lock
