Model: match coupe

it's just standard... Apart from some cheapo alloys, it a lovely shade of pi... Err red(ish) but it only has 50k on the clock and cost the princely sum of £250, as soon as i've sold my punto to pay for it. My boss has kindly given me the car already so i can do something while my leg is broken.

Hi all, I've wanted this polo for the past 5 years and i'm happy I finally got it. I would probably say I'm just going to do a few small mods, but that's what I said about my morris and I've gone overboard with that.

I will get it back to the red it should be and make it my little pocket rocket, I'm thinking bigger engine, 5speed box, handing and brake upgrades. Styling wise maybe just clean it up by de-badging and removal of nasty black trims and get decent wheels. And of course i need to fit a tasty sound system as i always do in my cars.

As it's my first polo I hope to get many ideas and get stuck in to things whilst on the forum.

It is very tidy, will look so much better when I've sorted the paint. I thought it was a late on as I've seen 6n's on an m.

I have done a quick spot to see how much the difference will be once i can get home to do it on Wednesday.

Not done much really, but it's looking a lot better after a proper polish up

Then I decided to start making mdf panels for my door cards to fit better speakers, it's the first time I have had a go at trimming anything but i am happy with the results :)

Now fitted my doorcard mods, with speakers and cross overs, the tweeters will go in dash

Looks so clean. I'd get new number plates on it though, the ones on it look home made....

yeah they're not great, i'm going to see if i can pressed steel plates

So it's been a while, not done much really but I thought I would do an update anyway.

So after a month of use the head gasket went, but that's the only issue I've had, it's a cracking little car.

Got my stereo sorted, now got my vibe blackair components, 6x9s, 4 channel amp and sub.

Got some bits for Christmas including pressed plates debadged grill and new steering wheel.

Also got a nice bargain, 7x15 slotmags for only £70, will just need tyres and a bit of lowering. Thinking 40mm springs as a temporary measure.

The car is looking good. A nice tidy example.

Spend an extra tenner and get some back to black on those bumpers and tyres shine on the tyres. That will transform this car.

Will be getting wider tyres anyway as the current tyres are 165s and look a bit stretched, what's the best stuff to use on bumpers? I've heard back to black doesn't last

Use boiled linseed oil get about 3 months plus from it

Had a tinker again and polished and waxed it, painted the bumpers and put red pinstripes on and fitted my new wheels and tyres also removed the side trims. Unfortunately ran out of paint to do the spoiler and number plate light trim. I'm happy as it's looking much tidier now :)

Yeah definitely, will have to wait a while. Once my other project is sorted it will get much more time and money spent on it
