I know loads of people ask similar questions but can you help. I'm looking at some steel vw wheels 14" with 175x65 tyres on. They came off a vw caddy. My mk2f has been lowered 40/60 on springs. Do you think they will fit?

Those tyres are HUGE!! Almost 2 inches bigger in diameter than standard Polo ones!

They probably would fit but you will most likely have scrubbing issues and your speedo will be under reading by miles!

I'm pretty sure the 14" alloys my 6n came on had 175/65's on and they didn't under read at all, not sure what the difference in radius is between 6n and 86c?

They did look a bit balloony though.

The 6n came with a larger rolling radius than the 86c.

559mm for the 6n 16v compared to 540mm for the G40.

175/65/14 would suit the 6n better but still on the big side.

It is actually more of a mk2 Golf size which would make sense if the wheels in question came off a Caddy.
