Polo 6N Speed and Rev Pin on clocks

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm trying to work out what pin on the back of the speedo cluster are the speed sensor and the rev gauge pin, can anyone help?

The car is a 1996 1.4 8V (early style clocks)

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Thanks so much for the info Nige :)

I may be being stupid, but I cant see anything on there for the rev's?

The wire on pin 7 should be rpm but when I looked on autodata the pin on the ECU (36) that connects with pin 7 says it's the instrument data line, but pin 9 on the ECU to pin 10 on the speedo is the rpm signal ??

When Idid a dash conversion on one of these I found it was pin 10 that was RPM, don't know why they couldnt say that though haha

Just a quick note on this, I found out what colours were the RPM and the Speedo.

Speed Sensor: White Wire- Pin 27

RPM: Green Wire - Pin 10
