Polo hz 1043cc 1990 distributor

Hall Effect version

With Vacuum advance.

Will be stamped 030905205B (VAG number)

And 0237021041 Bosch number

But can also accept 0237021043 Bosch number (1300cc type).

I’m getting the run around from a supplier on this item.

I appreciate they may be hard to come by but would like to check how hard before I fall out with current factor.

Thanks

Thanks Kiran,

Yes thats the one I'm getting the run around on.

Orderd a new one got a 'recon' with a used, loose and dead hall effect sensor.

Looks like I need to wait whilst they reprocess my order as no one else seems to come near on price.

I must have been unlucky - a recon unit with a dead hall effect!

Dead it is though. No trace on the output but I have a good trace from a spare unit and an AAU type.

The link you have given is much cheaper. Any idea why I did find that one myself? just a different part number perhaps?

I will order one of these if my current supplier takes much longer.

The one I provided isn't recon I don't think, they are cheapy pattern parts but it is working fine on my GT with bike carbs.

My mistake - it looked just like the one I've got.

Mine is an original bosch which has been on the lathe to remove all the marks and part numbers on the outer casing.

The lower parts have been shot blasted before fitting a new vacuum unit and (in my case) fitting a buggered hall effect sensor. New bearings and seals have been fitted.

The speed advance/retard has also been cleaned and the springs replaced.

I’ve been supplied a 1300cc version so it has a different adv/retard curve but given that I’ve been driving with a dead vacuum and loose springs – I doubt if anyone could tell.

For mine, ‘Remanufactured’ is a better description than ‘Recon’. It appears to be an original Bosch casing with cheap pattern parts inside.
