Ollie's Polo 9n 2003

Featured Replies

Hey everyone I thought I would post with updates about my polo right from the start, I've just turned 17 and have had my car for about a week and I'm already in love with it. I hopefully want to make something that stands out and just looks good, it's the 1.2 54bhp model 2003, I live in the very rural countryside of Shropshire so I'm trying a different approach and going for more of a slight rally spec to deal with the roads around here,

What I've done so far..

Led interior light and back number plate lights (in the post)

Wind deflectors

Front splitter (in the post)

Any help and ideas from anyone would be brilliant if you could cause I'm new to this :)

Future plans:

Audi pepperpot 15s

Mudflats

Not sure about coilovers in the future because of how rough the road is

Airel replacement

Full sound system

Touchscreen head unit (does anyone know one that fits?

Thanks, looking forward to doing my car up a bit :)post-921252-0-24454200-1437926799_thumb.post-921252-0-26707600-1437926555_thumb.post-921252-0-13073100-1437926460_thumb.

Any aftermarket double din headunit will fit mate as long as you get the right fascia and wiring harness. And if your gonna go coilovers I wouldn't recommend mudflaps as you'll just rub the fuck out of them.

I don't think I'll get coilovers in for a while as my insurance will be through the roof, thanks for your help looking for a head unit :)

- Added team Heko wind deflectors.

- Brought some seat Covers

- Added a Pioneer headunit and a 1200watt sub

- Change Ariel to a shorter one.

- Did a full service a month back

- Fitted snow tyres to the steelies when the weather was bad

Just picked up a set of Golf Avus 2 alloys from a college friend for £50! for the full set, primed and ready to be sprayed so that was a bargain but still in the process of being refurbished. first coat of paint went on today (as seen in images) can't wait to get off the trims :p

Next is for Lowering springs once the wheels are on and balanced with tyres.

Downsides,

- Had driveshaft problems on drivers side

- Slid off road on ice and had to be towed out about 3 months ago, (hence the snow tyres for now ;)) damaging the drivers side door with a dent and on the wing.

Sorry for not posting in such a long time due to college and working on weekends will try keep you updated
