1994 Arctic blue coupe

Featured Replies

Hey, just thought I would post some pictures up of my latest Polo, its a 94 Artic Blue 1.0. I previously had a red breadvan and my first car was an nz coupe. Some of you will recognise this as the car that Rob White rebuilt, so far I have done the unthinkable and raised it up a bit, when I got the car it was sat low, looked epic but was really undriveable where I live with all the mountain sized speed bumps and the front right shocker was fubar and sounded like a bag a spanners being thrown about, so I just got a 60-40 kit and had that put on, ok so it doesnt look as cool now but its still low enough and I can go over the bumps at 30 no problems!

Now my dilemma is what to change the wheels to, its currently on bbs rz515, I am trying my best to not like them but strangely they kinda just work, however I would like something smaller with a deep dish. Also I think I will probably change the barry boy exhaust, sounds ok but looks huge on the little Polo. Anyways, piccies!

Welcome! Very tasty mk3 and in a nice rare colour too!

I absolutely love this colour! Nice car.

Bear in mind that if you put on smaller wheels with a dish, you'll have to lower it quite substantially for it to look decent. I personally would stick with the larger diameter wheels if you don't want to go low.

Also, I think that £30 would transform the front end of this car. A pair of clear indicators and a de-badged grill would look spot on. Or if you want to spend fewer pennies, just paint the badge black.

I would love to see this with a GT/G40 arch kit on it. This colour looks amazing against the black bumpers and I think it will work great with the black arches.

+1 for clear indicators and a badgeless grill.

Also I can't remember the last time I went over a speed bump at 30. Think I've had a lowered car since my second week of driving!

Love this though, looking forward to seeing more of it.

Looks in good condition. White wheels would look good on that colour I think
