My fan keeps blowing the 15 amp fuse every time I turn the blower on. Unfortunately both my front electric windows have also packed up. It didn't happen at the same time but is obviously the reason why I now need to ask for some help.

I have tried to opperate the Windows with the key in the door but it didn't work.

I have no idea where the fuse for the Windows may be as I can't find a fuse diagram anywhere.

Please help, it's getting warm in my little car.

Check battery cables aren't lose.

Just the fan fuse....battery is good. What should I check next pls?

Fuse # 18 is also the supply to the window switches,

Does the fuse pop if the fan speed is selected to high speed?

Yes I think is ok on low tbh.

Can test this later as the gf is out in it atm.

Will this indicate that the blower motor needs replacing

On the lower speed settings the power goes through a resistor pack to drop the voltage to the motor, so it could be when the motor is at full speed its pulling too much current and blowing the fuse.

Is it fuse # 18 that's blowing or # 36 ??

Sit rep...It's fuse 36!

It's fine on 122! I tried 3 for a few seconds, seemed ok...the second I put it on 4 it started smoking..

Told her not to turn it past 2 but ok to use for the time untill we suss out what needs replacing

Remove the trim below the glovebox and you'll see the fan motor, remove the plug from the fan and see if the fuse starts to smoke on setting 4 if it does you have a wiring/switch problem if it's OK then the fans duff

Any idea about the windows?

Check fuse #18 (5amp) that is the control supply for the windows and then each window has its own fuse Front #31 & 39 Rear # 38 & 53 all 25 amp
