Polo GT 3f full conversion for sale

Featured Replies

Hi All

Due to me getting a company car I have my black gt breadvan surplus to requirements (from Sept 1st). Its a great little car but as i have a mk1 project I will need most of the running gear hence me thinking it will be more economical to break it (Boo Hiss- feel free to make on offer for the whole car in the breaking forum).

Anyhow first up will be the engine/gearbox essentially anything you want engine wise. Engine is on about 62k and had the cam belt done at 54k and has tonnes of reciepts (water pump/starter services etc). Its up and running daily and have a video/photos (email matt.hird1982@hotmail.com) or come and have a look. Will need a service as was planning to do this after the mot (due october).

Located in huddersfield and can put on a pallet if required.

Contact number is 07802775847 (not great signal during work so can text).

Looking for £350 all in or £400 delivered.

If you want any more pics or to look etc get in touch

Cheers

Matt

Wiring, ECU, fuel pump and all that other good stuff included in the price?

When would you be breaking it?

  • Author

Yep, essentially what ever you want engine wise. Dont have much in the car with what i need from it and what i was paid from someone hitting me so want an easy sale.

Can break as soon as I have a definate buyer for the engine

Cheers

Matt

Would you sell the whole car? What do you need from it?

I was planning on keeping things like the wiper set up, door hardware, locks, wiring parts (not engine) and the rear axle/front wishbones/arb, essentially the parts that arent worth anything just a ballache to find without getting a whole car so thats why I'm leaning to break it rather than MOT and sell it.

If it was a decent bid id sell whole as it will be a lot easier.

Cheers

It would be easier for me to take the whole car, but it is all down to price. I would just be pulling the engine out too but being able to drive it back home is a lot easier than carrying an engine conversion around in another car.

Either way I wouldn't have the funds until September anyway.

No Worries

Will have a see what interest there is in the other bits and can see if its still around. In terms of delivery etc we get decent rates on pallets and can get it to you for about £50 so might make it easier than a long drive (and cheaper than revving the nuts of it to keep up with motorway traffic).

Just for peace of mind I'd rather buy the whole car and drive it home and break it myself.

Unless you can do me a decent deal on the engine?

  • Author

Can completely understand that. Will see if the car is still whole when your ready, wont be doing anything till the engine is sold or have a deposit on it (or fancy an easy build and put it in the mk1...).

In terms of a deal on the engine i think its priced well for a complete low miler but will have to see what offers if any come in and adjust the price if need be

cheers

I've got a GT engine for sale if needed, minus the gearbox and loom, everything else is there. It's all been stripped and cleaned, heads just had a £250 rebuild, acid bath, skim and new everything, just needs all putting back together, got new head bolts and gaskets to go with it, £350 the lot, collection only from Walsall area
