Hi Guys, Been while since i been on here.

Last few years I've been driving a lease and although i have enjoyed hassle free motoring my fingers are getting itchy as I can't play around with it haha, well its due back later this year so been thinking of getting another 6n polo as a bit of a project there is just one thing putting me off, the gearbox.

The gearbox went in my old 1.4 16v and i remember it costing a lot to replace, hence why i got rid of it.

What are the options for gearboxes? is there anywhere that will re-con them and replace weak parts making them more reliable?

Plenty of places around the UK, just have to do the research in to where to go. Plenty of topics about it on the forums!
