Anybody used the cheap remote locking kits on ebay to upgrade the standard central locking to remote? I'm talking about the ones that range between about 10 to 15 quid.

I know right click do the plug and play kits but this is for my 6n that I've just bought for £250 so don't want to spend too much, just want to add remote to get rid of the extra keys I have as locks have been changed at some point. I'm competent with wiring so not bothered about it being plug and play.

If anyone's used one they can recommend I'd be grateful, cheers

I've used on of these on my daughters Lupo for the very same reason.

Absolutely no problems. I've also fitted very similar units with alarm and immobilisers in the same unit to all my air cooled VW's as well. Again, never a problem.

I have a 6n2, and wanted to convert mine to remote locking and was highly recommended to use RClick products which you can get a simple Remote Locking kit for around £40 quid and it just Plug n Play and you get 2 fobs with flip keys...
