no bumpers

Featured Replies

hi, I'm thinking about removing my mk2 polo rear bumpers. the front is easy enough as indicators can be fixed to the front but the problem i have is with the rear and number plate lights and where to put them. does anyone have any ideas on what to do or have done it themselves?

why on earth would you want a mk2 without bumpers ? would look terrible

I concur. There are so many mouldings and pressings under the bumpers, as well as clips and grommets that with the bumpers off it looks terribly untidy. Also you're going to need to drill the metal to mount the lights which will rust unless properly treated. Also the MK2 has an 'overbite' which looks weird with no bumpers on. It's a dreadful idea.

But if you must, then mount a couple of LEDs on the boot lid under the number plate?

i have had a look at some pictures. the front looks great but the rear does look strange . I'm just thinking about other ways to do things. i would quite like mine to look a bit rat.
