Hi people

I have just got myself a 6n2 gti and loving it! Did have a mk4 golf which I done lots to but it was now time for a change and a new project!

Any advise from people would be cool especially with lowering it, I've found springs at 40 60mm and 60 80mm but what difference would it make to the look and what impact would the standard shocks have?

Thanks [emoji4]6b39fccc75d5bf5ae345f06a59a9a5e6.jpg

Hello and welcome.

Lots of people choose coilovers for lowering, they are cheap and easy to fit if you just want lows. Plus your standard shocks probably won't last long with lowering springs especially 60 or 80mm ones.

I'm not as keen on coil overs, prefer the ride of springs, had 45mm on my golf and could of gone a little bit lower, i don't think shocks would last if I did go 80mm either, may have to look more at coil overs just seem more hassle adjusting them to the right height

Looks good!, Welcome to CP.

That's lovely an early one to
