Fun with Fibreglass

Featured Replies

I made a post on here a while back about this but can't find it.

I am in the process of making a moulded speaker box for the right side of a 6n boot. This is the first thing I have made completely out of fibreglass.

I have managed to make the lower part, and am now working upwards. This is where the fun times start.

I am using fibreglass tissue which I very thin. On the lower part I have used at least 3 layers and seems okay so far, however on the upper part the tissue just sags and mostly falls down.

Is there a top secret way of doing this?

I will get a picture up tomorrow when the light comes out.

All the guides I have seen so far, seem to skip the top part

Thanks

Have a look at www.fibreglassdirect.co.uk down the left hand side of their homepage, there is a list of products and basic information about them.
