The rear panel is a rare find and worth a bit of money too. The dent could pull out and there are no rips or tears. I bought the panel 2 minutes after it went on ebay as a backup incase the panel doesn't pull out right

I had an offer for the whole car just so they could get hold of the rear panel. Its my toy though

Swapped my 6n2 rear lights for some valver rear lights. I prefer the smoked/tinted look

One rear light idea thats works wonders, get hold of a German/European passenger one.

Brings the rear end together, especially on a red car.

No updates but today I decided to remove the charcoal canister and wirring too.

No updates really as im broke and xmas is round the corner too which means no money . It needs a full service soonish front brakes are wornish (discs not flat and has a deep lip) all the filters are dirty. Going to order the brake discs and pads this weekend and after xmas get the air filter, pollen filter,fuel filter and spark plugs too. Should I keep the oe air box or go for a universal bmc style? Anyways here's a few pictures i took from yesterday

Soo this morning I put the key in the lock to open the door, while I turned the key the pin was still down. So I pulled my key out and the whole barrel came out half way.

Removed the handle and see why it was fu***d

as you can see the metal tab has snapped on the barrel hence why the key would spin 360 around.  Luckily I saved a pair of delocked handles from the 4door doner I had, Only thing is I have to open the passenger door to get in and open the drivers door   Ordered this off ebay yesterday.

cant wait for this to come then i can fit the passenger's door handle too.

This also happened to me 2wks ago and i had to open and lock the door via the passenger door. I swapped the passenger side handle for the drivers side and bought a lock replacement kit for £4.99 and fitted it on Monday so its back to normal and i also bought a spare too

The car keeps misfiring at low revs and all of a sudden a clunk noise.  My oil cap and inside the oil cap is full of mayo. I suspect my head gasket is gone. The temp light is constant flashing after 5mins of driving, I thought it was flashing due to the coolant tank being an aftermarket one  and they always flash compare to the oem one. Might be breaking the whole car after xmas. Just  pissed off with her.

bit of a pain but still saveable

Never knew that looking for a clean decent valver 6n for sale is hard. Hardly any for sale especially low mileage.  I decided to keep her because its a clean low mileage shell (50k) and the engine and box clocks from doner is (76k) .

Its definitely saveable. I got a mechanic that s charging me £300 labour for my head to be removed and skimmed/ pressure tested and fitted along with new head gasket and gaskets, head bolts and timing belt kit, water pump have to order those parts after xmas .

ive been looking for someone that could do it for that price. ive been quoted 600 the highest and lectures from mechanics telling me the polo aint worth fixing because its old and a banger etc. hopefully it should be up and running end of jan with a healthy engine. Then MOT febuary 

The G/F bought me a head gasket kit and rocker cover seal From euro car parts Discount code (BLACKFRIDAY) 67% OFF. need to get full timing belt kit water pump in a week or two. 

Havent really updated this. Apart from getting a new head gasket, head bolts, head skimmed, full timing belt water pump and tensioner all done a few months ago she's running sweet. Also passed its mot  with only one minor advisory for the hand brake ( think it needs a lil adjusting).    

Also gave her a wash yesterday
