thanks. i wish i can be there to help him out but cant due to working 6 days aweek . it wont be a bodge job straight plug and play and swap over the parts i need etc

thanks R10tz0r. most of my car mates said I'm lucky etc because it was cheap. i couldn't justify to spend £450+ just on an engine . That hand break surround has already been swipped for mine sorry. test drove the car today its quite nippy doo miss having pas soo thats going into mine

got a few things delivered today new expansion tank, coolant and gasket seal for the leaky rocker cover on the AFH .

thanks. wizardmanjm. i swear i feel like giving up on this and just scarp both cars, well today i finished work and returned to my car to find all my center caps from my valver alloys all nicked, my front drivers door bent where they broken into it, my rear wiper blank i made got swipped and my rear bumper all scuffed on the side.(pissed off aint even the word). its like i cant have nothing to enjoy. car is now at my mates garage. lost motivation and intrest in this lil thing.

Absolute scum who do stuff like that. Bet you wouldn't mind seeing the b*****ds who done it.

Don't lose your motivation mate just a small set back and you will be back to normal before you know it, should invest in some stickers for your windows such as an alarm sticker and maybe a flashing LED until you can sort out proper security in the future.

Considered it on mine since someone smashed my saxo drivers window and stole my vtr arches and a Garmin from the glovebox. Someone broke in my 106 in Portsmouth too and they took the cd player and for some reason the parcel shelf [emoji52] something I keep forgetting about doing to the polo especially as it's going to be on the road more now and a they are easier to break into.

Thanks Conor, the first bumper with the grey primer is a copy bumper. kinda fucked it up by mistake a few months ago, bought some FK air ducts that go on the left and right side of the bumper grille, because it never fitted properly i hack the bumper grille mounts to make those stupid fk air ducts fit. Well it fitted but fitted crap with gaps etc. soo i smoothed the whole front bumper and sold it on ebay. got a oem one now from my doner car.

no real updates. Went to my mates garage and scrapped the doner car and completely stripped the front end and other bits and bobs that i can hoard, hopefully it will be done after xmas/ new year for the conversion. I cant take it no more driving this pos. I have no 2nd gear now and it sounds like a tractor with metal noises clunking inside the engine . Just gona try and kill this engine as its no use for anyone because its fuked. Last week i got some centre caps for the valver alloys cheap £10 for all 4 as mine got robbed , Then decided to give it a wash as it was looking proper filthy soo many bird poo and dust etc haven't been washed in weeks.

Yeah I wonder what the fuel consumption is like, should be nippy compared to the current two, tbh if the bready is GT'd before Feb I will probably be content...I'm never happy though

looking good nemo, its nice to see proper camera pics, phone camera's aren't always the best quality! especially with auto exposure settings etc. when you can alter them manually it makes or breaks a photo!

John, my valver is better on fuel than my old 8v, partly because I don't have to drive it as hard to get around (hilly area) and partly because its a better breathing engine. It's not amazing but I got 140 miles to £20 the other day when I went to pick the bumper up, at 116.9/L I got 3.76 gal which eventually equates to 37.23 MPG :)

That said, if you do open it up it does drink like an alchoholic at a free bar

Not bad at all for a 16v petrol, I've been looking for a super tidy pistachio green one lol, I have learned my lesson not to start with a "rough round the edges car" its never as easy as it looks.

The bluemotion can touch 80mpg when being careful and planning ahead so anything feels rubbish compared lol Petrol is cheaper though and there is an added fun factor to something a bit pokier in the petrol variety. I figure I need to start moving up in steps or down in terms of MPG before I can have something like an r32 and just accept how piss poor it will be lol
