Doing some good work there mate, was the engine an easy conversion?

Thanks. well my friend did the conversion and was easy too do, basically just swapped the whole front end from the doner too mine engine, box, suspension, brakes, pas, anti roll bar, exhaust. He usually deals with audi s4/rs4 and vag engine swaps etc soo the polo was a piece of piss.

Was tempted to fit this today

post-920579-0-99421500-1460481459_thumb.

But I'll wait till i get the front 16v bumper painted and then fit it, it would look soo wrong on the standard bumper

Shame that the leads are too big! Nice job on the seats, how did you find it? I had a nightmare removing a cloth from my old seats

Ive painted my rear spoiler and front 16v bumper havent fitted it yet. There wont be any proper updates till november and the full AFH engine, gearbox and wiring loom will be for sale then. Hopefully if things go to plan the polo should be going to HR Engineering winter time for its new heart

Well yesterday i was driving back home from work and my pas was making a loud noise and all of a sudden my steering went all hard. Pulled up and pop the bonnet open to find my tensioner exploded

2016-07-26 20.47.18.jpg2016-07-27 14.52.43.jpg2016-07-27 14.52.52.jpg

After an hour of trying to remove it . Here it is. One fucked tensioner.

2016-07-27 15.03.13.jpg

Ordered a new drive belt kit SKF drive belt and tensioner from eurocarparts using a Dscount code (SALE25) FROM £63.99 TO £47.99. Should be here by tomorrow as i opt for next day delivery and fitted by friday (my day off). Also when removing the heat shield from the manifold i discovered a nasty crack hence why my car is kinda loud

Gives me an excuse to fit a stainless steel one soon . Updates on friday when all fixed hopefully.

started at 1 in the rain trying to put the tensioner in, Guess what it didnt go in and hitting the chassis leg. Had to remove the power steering pump and it went in.Next problem i had was when fitting the pas belt, it wouldn't fit like it was too small. Alot of head scratching and looking around i realize i still had the aircon  compressor pump and pully attached and was running the a/c belt. Soo I removed the whole a/c pump and pully and attached the new belt. all done in 3 an a half hours

I'll take some proper photos of the paint work on the bumpers when installed as my phone camera doesn't really show the shine of the paint job properly

Really need to be lowered as it looks like a 4x4. The paint is hard now soo next week i can finally start to color sand (getting rid of the orange peal) and use g3 compound polish to get the bumper proper smooth. Next is some new pressed plates, clear indicators and installing the fog lights ive bought awhile back. Thanks for reading.
