6n door speakers

Featured Replies

The 6n door cards have that space down the bottom where you can store things but I wanted to fit about 3 mids and tweets on the door but haven't got a clue how? Cutting smoothing plastic welding what is needed? I have spare door cards to try it out on

I've done something similar, but replaced the 6.5" factory speaker with an 8" mid woofer. I put the mid in the dash and the tweeter mounded into the mirror cover thingy.

For the door pod I got a pre cut speaker ring from eBay then cut away the old speaker triller area and glued the ring to it, then covered the whole thing with a fleece material and used resign. Once it was hard I used chopped strand glass fibre from the inside with more resin to strengthening.

Late I used body filler on the outside to smooth it

There are plenty of guides on you tube for this kind of thing, but you will have to get creative as mostly they are from the states and use different products we can't get here.

I would really recommend using the pre cut speaker rings though, trying to make them without a router is difficult and will always look horrible. I paid I thing around £5 for 2 and they were made to measure as they are strange sized speakers. Search eBay for speaker rings.

There was someone on here a while back, taking orders for complete door panels - may be worth checking out.
