Mk2f brakes are good providing they are serviced properly and have decent fluid in them. Anyway I like Nige's suggestions for Vio's new car. I think we should all chip in for the hummer.......just s

  • https://dashcamtalk.com/ I'd recommend that site to help with a search, has comparisons of what's on the market + lots of reviews on their forum as well. ATM I've just been running a G1W-H (£35ish)

It's ok, I'll buy a Volvo next

Bloody hell dude you not havin much luck this just makes me want to defo but a dash cam..

I've got a Transcend Driver 200 for my T25 daily driver, and it's awesome. Have hardwired it in using a 12v-5v USB converter and cable straight from switched live source on the fusebox.

Vio have you considered stock car racing ?

Is that the same place

yeah it is, seriously take a different route

Is that the same place

yep, and it's the main road on my way to work so I can't really avoid it

ever thought about walking

ever thought about walking

Or a tank....

or a piggy back from a girl called tank

ever thought about walking

I'm a delivery driver for Domino's, kinda need the car

Shouldnt have jumped that green then should you, that guy was about to drop a mad drift and you ruined it

Undertaking, Vio.. tut tut.. going a bit fast for the conditions.. and a green light does not mean it's safe to proceed - many junctions have conflicting green lights. Here we have junctions where traffic have to give way to each other despite both having green lights.

Your last video exposed your own share of fault, too - just before you were hit in the back, you had to brake hard to avoid hitting the Seat Ibiza in front of you, and that's why the driver behind you had such little notice of his own requirements. Had you been driving more consistently, he would've been less likely to run into the back of you.

Both these videos combined show you to be an aggressive driver, and that leads me to my point in this topic - it's all very well fitting a cam for your defense, but consider whilst it's recording that it can also incriminate you...

Vio. Those brakes a absolutely shite. If you start braking when I think you do they needed sorting lol

Atleast it's a micra...spotted the chrome rice squirters..you sure they aren't dazzling your vision? [emoji6]

Micra? Sir, this is a 1999 Primera GX, I absolutely would not buy a Micra  it's fresh out of an MOT and the brakes were fine, the problem is it's a big car - it can't exactly stop on a dime like the Polo can.

I wouldn't say I'm an aggressive driver - there's lots worse out there than me - I'm just confident. I was doing the prescribed speed limit and had the right of way. We've figured that even if I had been going 20mph we'd still have collided, and I didn't feel it necessary to force everyone behind me down to 20 as well just in case. There's only so much you can do in the way of considering others' mistakes before you end up driving at 5mph everywhere and trying to account for everything. If I wanted to do that, I'd have bought a Micra  not my 1.6L twin-cam engine'd masterpiece of JDM that was the Primera. Slow that down *just* incase someone decides to yolo it across infront of me with an obstructed view? Paul Walker would be spinning in his grave :-(

Id buy pizza if it was deliverd in those

Ahh I could have sworn you said micra but I must have added that in my own head after you said Nissan [emoji14]

It's not hard to have a car pass it's MOT on brakes...in fact it should be much stricter than it is. Being a bigger car doesn't mean it should stop slower. Bigger cars get better brakes to stop as quick as the rest of the lineup. Saying that this is not near as good as the polo is worrying being that the brakes in the 2f polo even when in brilliant shape are the worst brakes I have experienced to date.

Vio : How's your back ?

Stand by for multiple phone calls.

'No win no fee

O.o the brakes in mine were pretty good

The brakes on my 2,5 20v Volvo 850 tank can stop it a damn site faster than both my polos and it weighs over twice as much!? Its just the design of the car really, I'm surprised that there was no noise from abs kicking in or a lock up if you had no abs if that was the brakes stamped on full :S. But oh well, you dont even need brakes to lock to pass MOT as long as they reach the % reading :/

yeah you stopped in time but compared to most other cars of same age and newer they would have stopped earlier easy. My new polo would stop in half that lol

My mate at work said the peugeot expert work van had crap brakes. To prove to him they were not we done a brake test at 40mph in the depot. Put it this way every time its stops from 40 to 0 in a distance of less than the length of a transit flatbed (we used the flatbed as an adjacent ruler :P) And the brakes in that a not near as sharp as in my old golf or new polo..or the work focus estate or the golf estate...My brakes in my mk2F are good...for a mk2 but they're far from the standards of every other car I have driven.

Mk2f brakes are good providing they are serviced properly and have decent fluid in them.

Anyway I like Nige's suggestions for Vio's new car. I think we should all chip in for the hummer.......just stay out of his way!

Think your next car should be a bus...
