Hey all,

Me and my son are building a 1993 mk2f and we are looking at colours for painting.

As the car will be my sons first car when finished and he is old enough to drive it I have left it up to him for the colour scheme and design but I have advised him with it.

We have a dilemma, he has decided to paint the car a really nice shade of grey with red leather interior and grey alcantara trim.

We are unsure what colour to paint the engine bay.

We have parts for the engine bay already in candy apple red and some chrome parts also.

Do we paint the bay the same colour as the car or candy apple red or something totally different like black, Cadbury purple, cream. ? ? ?

Let me know your thoughts.

If you want it to look 'original', you paint it the same colour as the exterior.

If it is a 'custom' look that you are after, the choice is yours.
