Horn has alot to say for itself!

Featured Replies

I have a 1999 1.4 CL 5 door Polo. She has decided to shout with every right turn of the wheel. Very embarrassing til I took the fuse out. Hubby has had a look behind the steering column & found nothing obvious. It behaved for a while but has again decided to hoot at every turn. Anyone any ideas? I couldn't find anything on search so assume this is not a common problem.

Thanks

First Welcome to the forum.

Have you had the steering wheel off ? if not it's probably the horn wires shorting together and if that's the problem you'll need to remove the airbag to check the wires

Insert a bent screwdriver into the holes in the rear of the steering wheel and turn as shown in this pic.
