My clock isn't working so I took it apart to find this connector not attached to anything and a little piece of circuit board that looks like it's missing something.

What should be there?

could I solder some wire from the clock to the circuit board? Is there anyway to test if it actually works first.

Also the left side buttons on the speedo do nothing... Changing the time etc.. Does the Gti have a temperature reader?
