carbs and a free flowing exhaust may do a little something , alot of expense for little gain I'm affraid

will the insurance approve bike carbs then ? i imagine it would be expensive

you could look at stripping out some weight for improved performance and fuel economy and its free/cheap

As above bike carbs/webbers on a 1.0 is costly and hardly any gains. Just drive/enjoy it till your insurance goes down and then decide on weather you want to do an engine swap or get another car with a bigger engine.

Nimal.

I converted my mk2 1.0 to run single point injection from a 1.3 AAV engine. Certainly a lot nippier than it was with the old carb on it. Do something similar and throw in a GT cam and you'll be laughing....until you phone your insurance and tell them that is.
