Hi all! My names Jake and I've recently both myself a little winter project to keep myself occupied through this sucky time of year! It's a 1990 VW polo breadvan 1.3 CL and I'm am absolutely smitten by it! I've always loved old dubs but couldn't get a mk2 golf as i wanted because my younger brother beat me to it the little bugger! I'm glad he did though as I'd say the little polo is waaaaay cooler [emoji41]

It's been modded a fair bit already but I have a fair few plans to put my own mark on the little beast!

Nah the last owner made in into a van, I was tempted to put it back to stock but I like how different it is :)

Cheers mate, and it's cause it's a custom jobbie, looks ace though and he did a cracking job on it, definitely keeping the panels in!

Yeah I think you're right to keep the panels in. Certainly makes it a one off.

How much does the panel conversion cost? Or is it a case of the guy who had it did all the custom work himself?

You used to be able to buy the panels from VW.
