Hi i got a 1996 Polo 6n i picked up the other day, when i get into start it i have trouble starting the car when its cold videos here

does anyone have any idea what it could be or any suggestions to try

Not sure what the video was showing? but in general cold start problems are often caused by the coolant temp sensor, giving the ECU the wrong info, so it doesn't use the correct cold start schedule, the temp gauge might indicate OK but the sensor is a dual element unit, one for the gauge, the other for the ECU, only replace it with a genuine VW part as others are of questionable quality.

Hi thanks for the quick reply the video was supposed to show the dials of it struggling to start you can hear it, il have to try one of them sensors then thanks again!
