Update time:

I've been doing some painting over the past couple of weeks

I finished off my boot by polishing it

A heckblende! Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this has ever been done on a mk2 polo? It could do with darkening and I appreciate that it's probably not everyone's cup of tea but I'm so happy with how it's come out and looks.

Opinions always welcome,

Cheers

Ledge thanks very much mate, pm me when you find out

Brilliant mate, hope to have a mk2 as well soon

Colour match looks fine on the photos too, will you be at polo social?

Oh nice, will you keep your 2f as well? I read through all of your thread the other day and I really like it!

Yeah it's alright it's just slightly lighter in colour than the original. Sadly I can't even start driving till October so no but I hope to in coming years

Meh the 2F isn't that great lol done loads compared to what the thread suggests but I never document or take pictures well, I will be keeping it yes, it will be taking the gt injection from the mk2 I want to pick up on Monday and the mk2 will get something of another flavour maybe

That's a shame but Atleast you have lots of time to work on it :) your doing a great job so far anyway, a lot of people just ruin them for fun lol

Well I like it anyway. That would be sick! Make sure you do a build thread for it, what are you thinking? Bike carb'd 1.4?

Thank you, I am fairly particular and maybe a bit ocd when it comes to cars lol

Yeah I will do one when I get time (and providing I get it). I'll not swap the engine as I want to keep it on the road full time, fueling will be the decision. Bike carbs maybe as I've never done it

It was too expensive to be fair but what's done is done, sorry I don't have any good photos of her yet. But that is kind of the final piece of the puzzle (obviously there's always more to do) so she's basically ready for the road! However my brother needs to get rid of his lupo first really as he is on a ski season atm and it barely gets used

So that's all for now,

Thanks

Leslie is looking good mate :)

Hope you didn't spend waaay too much on the bumper because a brand new one is about 100 quid on carbodypanels4u.co.uk

Thanks mate, in which case no not toooo much. I spent £50 on it with shipping and its in like new condition with the under bumper and lights included, still quite a lot for my budget though

Did you use white primer instead of grey primer? Just wondering if that's why the bonnet's light. I'm not very good with colours, and rattle cans can be miles out, but just a thought.

That is a good point actually but the primer of the factory paint is white, not sure if it would effect it or not though

Just noticed Johnny that the garage door is cool as the way it opens lol

Do you go to Truro College ? Sure I've seen it about.

I'm in Truro and should be getting my breadvan on the road by next week, nice to see another one around

I guess as far as garage doors go it's a fair cool one, bit of a ball ache to open compared to conventional ones though

Nah but I go to Truro school so I'm around there a lot, I'll look out for yours. Mine will hopefully be on the road within the next 2 or 3 months but driven by my parents, I won't be driving it till October.

Was the one you've been seeing the same colour? I did once see another bready in marine blue in Truro.
