Polo ETD Gearbox - £20 (spares or repairs).

Featured Replies

Got gearbox from polo 6n2 1.4 engine code AKK gearbox code ETD

The problem with the gearbox is it crunches when you select 2nd gear and when you change from 3rd to 2nd it is hard to select 2nd when the car is moving. No problems when car is stationary and started or off, only when moving. After a research found out it needs 2nd gear syncromesh.

Someone on here perhaps can either use it for spares and repairs or fix and make a good use out of it.

all other 1st 3rd 4rth 5th and reverse selection is nice and smooth and no grinds or rattles or knocks from the box was quiet and calm.

I want £20 for it because i have put new oil in it so I am only asking oil money for it.

Cash on collection or arrange your own courier, i dont have a pallet or packaging of any sort. If you want to pay by paypal then please cover the paypal fees so that I get £20 in my paypal. Thanks

I also have engine available £80 (code AKK) No issues with engine whatsoever. Engine does NOT come with alternator, starter motor, exhaust manifold. Engine Had cambelt and clutch replaced on it so that is a bonus for whoever buys it.

Location Bedford

Thanks.

Am I right in saying this would fit on a 6n? Mine has a rod operated linkage, as opposed to a cable operated one.

I bought one last week and I think it's gearbox has seized (within a week :( - no time to troubleshoot yet though)

I'm in Oxford so not too far away!

If it'll fit straight in having split and rebuilt w/ new syncromesh I'll have it. Does anyone know?

sorry dont know if it will fit 6n i am sure someone on here can confirm

Having done some research I think it's cable operated i'm afraid, and my 6n has a rod linkage I think. I'm sure I could adapt the linkages to work but I'm afraid I don't have time to change the box let alone faff!

Cheers. Matt.
