That looks like a 32TLA...

Should say somewhere on the body. If it is a 32TLA, it's off a 1.0L Polo.

Hi. I've order it so can't see what's on the written on the carb. The bloke said it came off a 1.0 polo. My next question is will it fit on my car with no problems for a swap with my knackered pierburg?

Which Pierburg do you have? I took the standard Pierburg 1b3 off and the mount was fine...

Then it must be the Solex PIC that has a different bolt pattern at the base.

All I know is that it's the original carb on the car. It's 1.05 litres 1988. So I should be able to bolt the weber straight onto the flange on the manifold?

Not certain but pretty sure yes. Not sure what year the started with the Pierburg, but mine is '90 1.05L and originally came with the Pierburg.

The Weber you're looking at is the same as the one I swapped out. Was pretty easy to figure out where to connect everything up, similar layout etc. The flange is the same for both.

Thank you. How's yours running now?

Very well actually! Idles well, runs smooth. Pretty happy (just need to sort the exhaust blow out, makes it sluggish).

I'd recommend a carb tuning kit to make sure you set the mixture right though. I used the 'Gunson Colortune'. Doing it by ear is asking for trouble down the road :-D

Can you recommend where to get one from?
