They are the same runner design.

However (and I'm not sure about this) I think the rear 2 runners are a little too wide on the 6N seats. I'm sure there will be someone more knowledgable along soon to correct me :)

Also, the 6n seats are the same as many other same era VW, so mk2-3 golfs scirocco corrado etc as well as same era SEAT and skoda. Also don't forget the 6n2, lupo and arosa etc.

That said I do have a great set of front seats for the 6n and a full 6n2 interior with heated front seats that I need rid of... :)

As above. 6N is the same as 6n2 and mk3 golf which the rear runners are wider. There are guides all over the Internet for modifying mk3 seats to fit a mk2. The same would apply to the 6n* seats

What mCcan said, i tried putting 6n seats in a mk2 and the runners are too wide

Popular replacement front seats are scirrocco, mk2 golf and corrado

The scirrocco ones are the same fabric as polo genesis seats.

I've got mk3 seats in mine, bought them pre-modified as such, the lugs that sit in the runners have been cut off and re welded to fit the mk2 runners

Okay cool. I knew about the Corrado seats being a straight swap. I got seats out of a mk2f at the moment. The stock mk2's i had looked like they had been fingered by Wolverine. But now my mk2f drivers seat has broken. Won't recline and the cable across the back has snapped. Gonna have a rummage in a local scrappie to see if there are any gems there. Thanks peoples.
