Featured Replies

As per the above please.

I'm looking for a known-working carb for my 1.3 mk2.

Thanks in advance.

I have one if you are interested. It recently has had a brick parts kit fitted to it. It does not have the correct auto choke housing on it and you will have to check the electric solenoid valve is working. The water heating connection to the choke housing could be sorted with some tube fittings and a little piece of the right size of house. I took it off simply because I had another one and the fault with it was the power supply to the idle solenoid and not the carb itself. PM me if you are interested.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the reply. A few questions if I may:

Autochoke housing - could I swap these over with my duff carb?

Solenoid valve: Again, is this interchangeable?

Ideally I am looking for a carb that I can just bolt on and use.

Yes the auto choke housing and solenoid are interchangeable. This carb was running the engine. It was just the fuse that had blown that stopped the solenoid valve from working. The whole carb was blown out with compressed air and cleaned.

Regards

Phil
