Hi fitted a pioneer mvh-270dab in my 6n, and for some reason the radio will ask me if i want to set it up every time i turn the car on. The radio wont save the settings i put in or if a song was playing on usb it would go back to the beginning of my music list, Has anyone got an idea whether it is the wiring or something?

Has the radio got a yellow and red wire that connect with torpedo connectors to another red and yellow wire going to the iso block? If youve done red - red and yellow - yellow swap them over, I had the same with my pioneer and that was the cure. If you need a picture I can dig the radio out and get you one

thanks for the quick reply on the iso block there are 3 bullet type connectors 1 for a red wire, a yellow wire, and a blue and white wire. I have the yellow to the yellow red to red and blue to blue. So to solve the problem I have to connect the red to yellow and yellow to red right?

Yes that will ensure the 12v live supply will keep the settings when you switch off/remove key from ignition

You could also buy an adaptor loom from Halfords if you wanted, does the same thing. It cost me £7, but saves me the effort of having to undo changes if I want to refit the factory head.

You still have to do this with the halfrauds loom mate.. just an odd thing with Pioneer radios

I have a Pioneer DEH-4400BT in my 6n and it would do the same & not save settings when I switched off, I bought the loom and it's perm live & works perfectly now

Its an odd thing with quite a few pioneers where you just have to swap two wires over, happened in my Volvo and several corsas
