The previous owner did a bad job of colour coding the mirrors. I took the passengers mirror off today to paint matte black and noticed it didn't have any cables to adjust it. There is an adjustment knob on each door panel.

Is this normal?

Some of the mk2 mirrors were just adjusted by moving the unit itself. My mk2 is like this. I thought all mk2f Polos had the cables to adjust them though.

Just went and had a look at the drivers side and that has the 2 cables going into the door fram.

So earlier mk2 polo had them without adjustment? Maybe it's been replaced.

Does anywhere sell these new? The drivers side doesn't adjust from inside either.

Also, is there an easy way to get the drivers side mirror off without taking the door card off?
