6n2 Polo Removed Clocks, Now Airbag light is on

Featured Replies

Hi,

I removed the clocks in my 6n2 recently because they had broken.

When I put them back in the airbag light was on.

Any idea why? And is it just a case of getting someone with a CAN obd lead to clear the codes?

2000 Reg 1.0 6n2 btw.

Thanks,

Matt

Did you disturb the airbag connections when you replaced the speedo unit? as this will of set a fault code that will need deleting, and as you have said it will need a CANbus capable cable, where abouts are you?

Not that I'm aware of but It's fully possible. I'll look into somewhere near me where I can get it sorted. My usual mechanic doesn't have the right diagnostic tools for the job.

Ireland, Unfortunately

Thanks.
