Want to swap the wheel in my 96 polo ( airbag type ) what bosses are available and is this job pretty straight forward ?

Any boss that says it will fit a 96 polo. They all had the same spline size etc.

Really easy job IMO - 2 Allen bolts behind the wheel to get the bag off, then disconnect and 24mm nut holding the wheel down.

Best to take the steering cowl off and disconnect the airbag slip ring, then pull the wheel off.

Also, when you take the nut off, wind it back on a turn or two, this means the wheel can be pulled off the threads without flying off and removing your teeth / breaking your nose etc.

The airbag light will be on, you will need an airbag resistor to fool the controller and switch the light off. This will not effect the mot, because there is no airbag fitted so cannot be tested. It might be easier to just unplug or remove the light as in this case it's not needed.
